Our new Patented (# 6,227,515) Variable Mass Platform (VMP). First
conceived as a base component to make the DTTI dicing saws more effective
by reducing vibration of the saws as they cut to the nearest millionth
of an inch, the company has found numerous other applications for this
important innovation.
1. As vibration free flooring in semiconductor, disk drive or fiber optic
fab facilities.
2. As the platform for certification of new very high density disk drives
being developed for television sets using DVD technology motion pictures
and programs.
3. As a replacement for granite blocks used in precision machining throughout
much of the tool and die and other machining intensive industries.
Constructed of carbon fiber by qualified sources, the VMP is several times
lighter than competitive technologies, generally weighing less than 200
pounds without water fill, can be tuned to eliminate specific vibration
overtones, and is gas free for use in critical semiconductor and related
clean room process environments. The materials and construction methods
permit very low costs which are significantly competitive with less effective
competitive technologies.
